The Ohio EPA Drinking Water Laboratory Certification Program Is managed by two divisions within the Ohio EPA. The Division of Environmental Services, Laboratory Certification Section, is responsible for the operation of the program. James Evans oversees applications, laboratory plans, lab QA plans, and USEPA regulation implementation. Jim Dolfi coordinates the chemistry program. Todd Bidlack coordinates the microbiology program. Charles Vasulka is responsible for wet chemistry and other chemistry. The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters administers the program and issues certificates.
Sewage Treatment System Program
OHIO (updated 1/14/08)
OTCO administers Septage Hauler, Installer, and Service Provider Program for Local Health Departments that request OTCO participation. This program is also know as the STS Program. Continuing education requirements for the STS Certification Program can be met by attending STS Workshop directly targeted for STS and wastewater treatment.
ANY OTCO Workshop with a wastewater treatment subject matter can also be used to meet the requirement.
WEST VIRGINIA
OTCO helps to administer the mandatory Backflow Prevention Training & Certification program in in the State of West Virginia in co-operation with The West Virginia Environmental Training Center (ETC) and The West Virginia Bureau of Health.
OTCO is also utilized to administer the mandatory Water Distribution Systems System Training & Certification.
